Daniel Blaufuks uses mainly photography and video, presenting his work through books, installations and films. The connection between time and space and the representation of private and public memory are his great topics.

His work is represented in various collections, such as Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisbon), Colecção Berardo (lisbon), Centro Galego de Arte Contemporanea (Santiago de Compostela), Palazzo delle Papesse (Siena), The Sagamore Collection (Miami), and The Progressive Collection (Ohio).
His book Under Strange Skies (tinta-da-china, 2007) received the award for Best Photography Book of the Year in the International Category PhotoEspaña 2007. Daniel Blaufuks received the BES Photo Award 2006, with the work Terezín, published by Steidl in 2010.
